Hello from Hasami, Nagasaki.

A special event where you can fully enjoy the charm of craftsmanship will be held on the grounds of Takayama, a local kiln.On Sunday, April 5, 2026, “MIDOU Kiteminne Marche” will take place at the MIDOU venue.

On the day, there will be a wide variety of programs, including open factories hosted by local kilns, workshops, food and drink booths by local restaurants, and stage events.As a Hasami marche, it is designed to be enjoyed by families, friends, and even solo visitors.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the culture of Hasami and the charm of the local community.


Hands-on Craft Experiences at the Hasami Marche

Hasami is known as a pottery-producing town where traditional techniques and contemporary design come together in a vibrant culture of craftsmanship.At this event, Takayama will also open its factory to the public and host an open factory where visitors can observe the production process.


By seeing the work of artisans up close, you can learn how pottery is shaped and fired.


There will also be a variety of workshops where visitors can enjoy making things with their own hands.


Pad Printing Workshop

At Takayama, we will offer a “Pad Printing Experience” that even beginners can enjoy.

Workshop DetailsOn the day of the event, you will use an original event design and transfer it onto a 5-sun plate using a printing machine.You can also write your name on the back using underglaze paint.

Stage Events and Hasami’s Mascot Character “Hachamaru”


Stage performances will also be held at the venue, featuring music and other performances that will enliven the event.Local performers will appear on stage, creating a lively atmosphere that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.


Hasami’s mascot character “Hachamaru” is also scheduled to appear.Meeting the adorable Hachamaru and taking commemorative photos will surely become a fun memory for children.
