A Television Program Was Filmed at Takayama, a Hasami Ware Kiln | Television Nagasaki Broadcast Notice

Filming for the television program “Michiko Hada’s Heartfelt Journey in Nagasaki – Encounters and Discoveries”, which will be broadcast on Television Nagasaki (KTN), recently took place at Takayama Co., Ltd.

This program features actress Michiko Hada as she travels throughout Nagasaki Prefecture, rediscovering the region’s charm through its local culture and heartfelt encounters with the people who live there.

In this episode, the journey visits Isahaya City, Hasami Town, and Sasebo City.In Hasami Town, viewers will be introduced to its history as a “town of ceramics” and to the craftsmanship that supports everyday life.

At Takayama, the filming covered the manufacturing process of Hasami ware as well as the philosophy and passion for craftsmanship that have been handed down over many years.For us, it was also a very valuable opportunity to once again reflect on the appeal of Hasami ware.
